Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts for Imagen Diagnóstica are submitted by email. Authors should send their submission to: editor@imagendiagnostica.org

What we accept

We welcome scientific and professional contributions related to diagnostic imaging in any modality, image-guided medical treatment, and imaging technology. The journal publishes in Spanish and English and operates as a diamond open access journal.

File format

Submissions may be prepared in any standard format, including:

  • Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

  • LaTeX (source files)

PDF files may be included for reviewer convenience, but please also attach the editable source (Word or LaTeX).

What to include in your email submission

Please attach the following files (as applicable):

  1. Manuscript file (Word or LaTeX source) including:

    • Title

    • Author names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact details

    • Abstract and keywords

    • Main text (with references)

    • Tables and figure captions

  2. Figures as separate files (preferred): PNG/JPG/TIFF (or original vector files for diagrams when available).

  3. Cover letter including:

    • Article type

    • A short statement of novelty/importance

    • Confirmation that the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere

    • Ethical approval and patient consent statements (when applicable)

    • Funding and conflict of interest disclosures

  4. Supplementary material (if any): datasets, appendices, checklists, videos, or additional figures/tables.

Language

Manuscripts may be submitted in English or Spanish. If the manuscript is accepted, authors may be asked to improve language clarity prior to publication.

Peer review

Imagen Diagnóstica uses a single-blind peer review process. The editorial office will confirm receipt and will contact authors with the editorial decision after review.

After submission

Once your email is received, you will get an acknowledgment from the editorial office. If any required items are missing, we will contact you to request the necessary information before the manuscript proceeds to review.
