Imagen Diagnóstica is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific quality, integrity, and transparency through a rigorous single-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability with respect to the journal's aims, scope, originality, and ethical compliance.

Manuscripts that meet the journal's requirements are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise. In the single-blind review model, reviewers remain anonymous while author identities are disclosed to reviewers. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the field of diagnostic imaging.

Editors consider reviewers’ recommendations and make one of the following decisions: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Authors are expected to address reviewer comments comprehensively and submit a revised manuscript when requested.

The journal adheres to the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations to ensure fairness, confidentiality, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the peer review process. Editors manage potential conflicts of interest and take appropriate actions in cases involving ethical concerns, research misconduct, or publication malpractice.
